Stephen Hill Architects were commissioned to design and build a new house in a greenbelt area of Rotherham. The brief was to create a family home sympathetic to it’s natural surroundings but with clean contemporary design.
Exploiting its rural setting, the property has been designed to maximise the fine views over the open countryside from the main living spaces.
The topography of the site has allowed the building to be nestled into the landscape, minimising its impact on the environment. The building’s barn-like form is in keeping with its agricultural context. Due on site Spring 2017.
